For over thirty-five years, I have assisted people with issues that threaten to destroy their fortune, their freedom, or their career. I am a scrupulous neutral, a relentless advocate and a great believer in the power of persistence, preparation and creative approaches to apparently insoluble problems.
As a neutral I have handled hundreds of cases including commercial, employment, professional liability, health care, first-party property, class action, corporate malfeasance, personal injury, antitrust, Lanham Act, and other matters. As my publications and speeches make clear, there is no substitute for hard work, and I thoroughly prepare for every case, regardless of size or subject matter.
As an advocate, I represent health care providers and other individuals accused of misconduct by federal and state authorities, and handle complex commercial cases and health care matters, including HIPAA, hospital discharge, and end of life issues. Many of my clients retain me in the midst of proceedings that may change the course of their lives, and I recognize the importance of working closely, carefully, and consistently with every client that reposes his or her trust in my counsel.
Additionally, as a law clerk for the late Honorable Daniel S. Pearson decades ago, my first legal love was research and writing. Although my practice has expanded, I continue to provide legal and strategic support to other lawyers in criminal and complex civil matters. I am a great believer in teamwork, and never forget my core mission in every case, namely, to protect and serve my valued client.
In addition to my practice, over the years I have played a variety of roles in our community, including serving as the Chair of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit; the first woman President of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (Miami Chapter); a member of the Miami-Dade County Charter Review Task Force; and a member of the Florida Bar Committee on Judicial Independence.
I also taught Federal Criminal Practice as an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law, participated in the Legal Malpractice and Professional Liability Roundtable at the University of Miami School of Law for several years, have appeared on several Bar panels, and served in many other legal and community organizations.
Finally, I have been an AV-rated lawyer since 1990, received the G. Kirk Hass Humanitarian Award from The Florida Bar, and am frequently listed in Florida Super Lawyers, Florida Trend Legal Elite, South Florida Legal Guide, and other listings that would have made my mother proud. If you have any questions about a potential legal or ADR matter, please feel free to email me at Pam@PamPerrylaw.com, or call me at 305-670-9800.
I look forward to speaking with you.
